Willmar T. Harder
Lead Pastor
Willmar has served at BMC since 2014. He earned a B.A. in Bible & Religion from Bethel College (KS) and a M.Div from Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary (IN). He grew up in Mountain Lake, Minnesota with strong family ties in Paraguay. After serving Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church (KS) for 10 years his family and he moved to Santa Cruz, Bolivia, where they served with Mennonite Central Committee as co-coordinators of the Low German Mennonite Program from 2010-2014. He enjoys raising Simmental-Angus cattle.
Sonja Good
Youth Leader
Sonja is from Hesston, KS and is no stranger to HiB (the joint youth groups of Hoffnungsau and Buhler Mennonite churches) as she and her husband Rob served as youth sponsors for HiB from its inception. They are long time members of Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church where they have been active in a variety of ministries. They have two daughters. Sonja graduated from Bethel College (KS) with a degree in Social Work and has many years of experience working in the field of mental health. Before becoming our Youth Leader she served as a case manager for Prairie View Mental Health.
She has a passion for building relationships with youth, walking alongside them, and strengthening their relationships with Jesus Christ through worship, fellowship, and service.
